When the Shenlong is taken to the lunar base and dismantled, the parts are used to create the Altron Gundam.  Although incomplete, Wufei takes the suit out against the mobile dolls at the lunar base after escaping the prison cell he shared with Duo.

In addition to the new color scheme, the Altron also has some new weapons.  The vulcans remain, but everything else has been upgraded and retooled.  Gone is the beam glaive.  Taking its place is the twin beam trident.  While slightly different, the dragon fang is still around with the twin flame-throwers, but it now has a brother on the opposite arm.  The shield has moved to take up position on the shoulder and the backpack now has a twin beam cannon in addition to a pair of wings.
